I had about 20 posts planned for December, but I ended up  publishing 2…including this one. What happened?!

Well…if you follow my facebook page then you know that…

I’m pregnant!

pregnancy announcement ~ Real Food Family

Yay! It is crazy that we will be adding a third baby to the family. We are super excited and looking forward to this next chapter in life.

So how have I felt since this started? I feel like crap. Utter crap. I HATE the first trimester. No matter how much preparing I do or how much advice I put out in the world on pregnancy health (which I actually do follow), I feel horrible- constant nausea, CRAZY blood sugar drops (like an instant plummet where I have to explain to my daughter what to do if mommy falls on the ground and can’t talk), and wanting to be asleep 24/7. I feel like a slob, my house is a constant mess, and I’m not sticking with any of my pregnancy goals like taking all my supplements and working out every day. I honestly feel successful if I just get through each day…each one closer to the end of the first trimester. It’s a lowsy existence.

Sadly, I know it’s not that bad. Most women suffer far more than I am during their first trimester. I just can’t wait for it to be over. The second trimester is awesome. Right now I just feel super chubby and uncomfortable.

I am really excited about sharing this pregnancy with you, though! I learn SO much more with every pregnancy and birth experience that I WISH I knew the first time around, so hopefully other mamas out there can learn from my experiences. My big New Year goal for Real Food Family is to bring you videos- hopefully weekly. I just have too many things I want to write about and sometimes I’ll start writing about something then get distracted and never end up publishing the post. I’d love to briefly cover various topics and have more conversations with you about all things concerning real food and natural living (and other things, too, of course). The problem with videos is that it’s very difficult to get past the awkwardness of watching yourself. Wish me luck on this!

I hope you had a blessed holiday season and are looking forward to an exciting and eventful New Year!
