If you’ve read my About page, you might know that I was/am (depending on the day) a professional dancer. I still think it’s really cool that I’ll get to teach my little princesses how to do ballet. I thought it would be fun to add some blogs here teaching all the moms out there how to do some ballet- by themselves or with the little ones. If you want a little motivation, my mom, who is a physician, who never took ballet before, started taking ballet at age 45! She fell in love with it and still can’t go a week without taking a ballet class. Although I became a contemporary dancer, ballet will always be in my blood. It is excellent for your health, too! So join me and learn some fun exercises to do at home on your own or with your kids! I even do some of my exercises and stretches while I’m cooking…maybe I’ll show you in a cooking video sometime- hah! You never know, you might find yourself checking out the adult classes at a local ballet studio. I highly recommend it!
So here’s our first lesson~ Plies, Tendus, Degage’sand Opening Stretches.
