This is my 2 week old baby niece, Penelope Love…and we LOVE her so much!!!
This weekend my adorable daughter is completing a week of Drama Camp and performing in a full production that we are looking forward to. We are having a Weston A. Price Foundation local chapter potluck on Saturday then enjoying a morning of worship, Bible-teaching and fellowship at our church on Sunday. This week there was a wildfire a few miles away that threatened our property. It made me get a jump-start on packing for our upcoming move (which I’ll explain more in the coming weeks). Fortunately the fire was fully contained before getting dangerously close to us and now I’m spending every extra time at home packing. It’s really a great way to pack (or simplify life)- to start by packing up everything you really couldn’t live without. After you set aside the “can’t live without” stuff, only keep the things you know you’ll use and SELL EVERYTHING ELSE (and pay off debt!!!)
Here are some of my favorite links this week:
Have you seen this commercial? Seriously, these guys are hilarious and brilliant.
Then there’s this (can’t stop laughing out loud) video…reminds me of when my cat used to fall into my bathtub regularly while I was taking a bath. She’d sit on the ledge of the tub and use her paw to “grab” water to drink. She’d get frustrated that she wasn’t getting very much water and often just fall right in. There’s nothing like a water-hating cat falling into a tub of water.
I found this entertaining list of the “Oddest Animals from Around the World”. Craziness.
We are leaving our homestead outside of town and moving back to town by the beachside in September. We are seriously downsizing so that we can pay off debt and save money, but I will never stop loving the homesteading life. My friend just closed on a 1940’s farmhouse and homestead. I’m just a little jealous.
Did you see my posts about deciding to homeschool? One thing I’m trying to do every day is some sort of craft or project. I’m not exactly an “arts and crafts” mom, though, so this is a list of 50 Ultimate Kids Crafts. Super awesomeness.
I can’t wait to buy every one of these Books that Inspire Virtue in Girls for my girls.
Teaching Your Kids Authentic Worship.
Being an authentically Christian parent.
I want to live here and eat this NOW.
I am obsessed with this article about Parenting in Congo.
I will be working with this event at the end of the month. If you are in Southern CA, you are cordially invited. It’s no-words-to-describe AWESOME.
Have an great weekend!
